Since 2011, hundreds of volunteer builders have been constructing Westeros block by block in Minecraft Java Edition. King's Landing, Winterfell, The Wall, Highgarden, Pyke and more - the map covers the 9 regions of Westeros and beyond the Wall. From the Frostfangs to Dorne, it's all free and open to visit on WesterosCraft.
WesterosCraft aims to create a complete, book-accurate recreation of Westeros and Essos from A Song of Ice and Fire in Minecraft, serving as the foundation for an immersive map and experience through modpack development.
Prerequisites
Installing the modpack
To explore the map you need the WesterosCraft modpack. A modpack is a group of Minecraft mods that can be tailor made for unique experiences in Minecraft. Managing a modpack can be cumbersome, so many prefer downloading a launcher.
- Download a launcher. We recommended the Modrinth App. (opens in a new tab)
- Install the modpack. Search for the WesterosCraft Modpack within the app and install it. You can also install it from Modrinth here (opens in a new tab).
- Hit the Join Server button and start your journey.
Once you're on our server explore the map, take screenshots, try the scavenger hunts, claim a creative plot to build in and more.
