Getting Started

Welcome to WesterosCraft, where we are building a Minecraft recreation of George R.R. Martin's world of Westeros from A Song of Ice and Fire. This guide will help you get started on your journey through the Seven Kingdoms.

What is WesterosCraft?

WesterosCraft is a massive collaborative project that has been recreating the entire continent of Westeros in Minecraft since 2011. Our community of builders has constructed hundreds of castles, cities, towns, and landmarks with incredible attention to detail and lore accuracy.

Quick Start Steps

1. Set Up Your Launcher

Before you can explore Westeros, you'll need to set up a Minecraft launcher with our custom modpack. We support several popular launchers:

2. Join the Server

Once you have the modpack installed:

  1. Launch Minecraft with the WesterosCraft modpack
  2. Go to Multiplayer
  3. Add server: mc.westeroscraft.com:1182
  4. Join and start exploring!

3. Read the Rules

Before you start building or exploring, make sure to read our server rules and guidelines. These help maintain the quality and atmosphere that makes WesterosCraft special.

4. Take a Tour

New to the server? We recommend:

  • Starting with the King's Landing tour to see our most detailed city
  • Visiting Winterfell to explore the North
  • Checking out Highgarden for stunning gardens and architecture
  • Exploring Casterly Rock for impressive mountain fortifications
